Terms of service and licence

These terms apply to the PrintBIM software ("the Software"), the website printbim.com and any licence you buy. "We" and "us" means PrintBIM, based in Ghana. By installing or using the Software you agree to these terms.
1. Licence
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use the Software for the plan you chose:
- Free trial: one export with all features, for evaluation. The exported model carries a printbim.com mark.
- Pro (subscription): one named user, for as long as the subscription is paid.
- Perpetual: one named user, for the version you bought and the updates released in the following 12 months, with no time limit.
- Student: one enrolled student, for non-commercial study, for one year.
- Lab, school and firm licences: as stated in the quote or invoice.
The Software is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly granted.
2. What you may not do
- Share, resell, rent or sublicense your licence key or the Software.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software, or try to bypass its licence checks, except where the law expressly allows this despite this restriction.
- Use a Student licence for paid or commercial work.
- Remove copyright or trademark notices.
3. Your models and files
Your Revit models and the files PrintBIM creates belong to you. The Software runs on your computer and does not send your models to us.
4. Payment, renewal and cancellation
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. When you cancel, your licence keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are covered by our refund policy.
5. Updates and support
Subscriptions include updates released while they are active. Perpetual licences include updates for 12 months. We provide support by email at hello@printbim.com.
6. No warranty
The Software prepares geometry for 3D printing. You are responsible for checking print models before relying on them, for example for client presentations, competitions or deadlines. The Software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, failed prints or printing material. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the licence in the 12 months before the claim.
8. Termination
If you break these terms, your licence ends and you must stop using the Software. Sections 2, 6, 7 and 9 continue to apply.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. This does not remove any consumer rights you have under the laws of the country where you live.
10. Trademarks
Autodesk and Revit are registered trademarks of Autodesk, Inc. PrintBIM is not affiliated with or endorsed by Autodesk. Printer brand names are trademarks of their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes do not reduce the rights you have under a licence you have already paid for.
